Theewater Sailing Academy was launched in January 2012 and the Sailing Academy has subsequently achieved both International recognition through World Sailing and local accreditation from South African Sailing as a ‘Learn to sail’ and ‘Learn to Race’ sail training facility with dinghy, multihull and keelboat endorsements. The Academy is run by its principle Neil Ashton. Neil is a South African Sailing Instructor Developer with many years of sailing and coaching experience, together with his instructor group they make a formidable team and have trained numerous winning crews.

The Sailing Academy offers a variety of World Sailing recognised ‘Learn to Sail’ weekend courses & school holiday sailing camps.

Once you are able to sail, the Sailing Academy will advance your sail racing skills with our 'Learn to Race' programme.
